How does SecureFileX work?

There is no software to download or maintain and virtually no learning curve. If you can access the Internet and download a file, you are ready to use SecureFileX. Here's exactly how it works:

We Create Your Personalized Log-In Page

A personalized log-in page will be created for your company (branded with your logo, colors, etc.)--click here to view an actual log-in page. You will designate a sub-domain name, usually your web site's domain name, which will be used to create your log-in address. For example, if your company's domain name is abcpension.com, your personalized log-in page address would be: https://abcpension.SecureFileX.com.

Just put a link on your web site that takes your clients directly to your personalized log-in page. If you don't have a web site, you can simply give clients the web address of your log-in page. Or, better yet, sign up for our starter or premium web site services and we will create a web site with the link for you. 

Company Administrator Sets Up Employee Users

An employee at your firm is designated the "company administrator" and sets up user accounts for each of your employees authorized to use SecureFileX. The employee will automatically receive email notification that an account has been created. The email will include a link to the secure server where the employee activates the account by creating a password (for added security, only the employee will know this password).

Employees Create Client User Accounts

Each of your authorized employees can create user accounts for your clients. The user will automatically receive email notification that an account has been created. The email will include a link to the secure server where the user activates the account by creating a password (for added security, only your client will know this password). Sending Files

When one of your authorized employees or clients wants to initiate a file exchange, he simply goes to the log-in page, enters his email address and password and then selects the file or files from his computer that he wants to send (just like attaching a file to an email). The file will automatically be uploaded to SecureFileX’s dedicated secure server, using the latest in encryption technology. The data is completely encrypted during the entire process--from the time it leaves the sender's computer until it arrives in its original form at the recipient’s computer.

Recipient Notified By Email That File Has Been Uploaded

An email will be sent to the recipient with notification that a file is waiting, along with a link to your log-in page. The recipient is then prompted to log in with his email address and password in order to download the file. (Click here to view the "Received Files" page.) Files are available for a period of 7 or 14 days as specified by the sender when the transfer is initiated. Files may also be deleted by the recipient.

Usage Reports

The company administrator can view usage and audit reports which provide details of activity on the secure server. (Click here to view the "Audit Logs" page.
