Donna L. Lee is president and founder of Benefit Insights, Inc. For over 25 years, she has been involved every facet of the qualified plan arena including plan design, implementation, asset management, administration, recordkeeping, compliance, training, relationship management and sales.

She has been active in publishing the Benefit Insights newsletter since its inception in 1979. The newsletter originally was developed to send to her former TPA firm's clients, prospects and referral sources. Due to its success, and the fact that it was unique in addressing only one qualified plan topic each issue, in 1980 it was offered to other TPA firms, personalized to look like their own publication. (We are proud to say that we have two subscribers that have been receiving the newsletter without interruption since 1987 and another subscriber since 1989!) Donna and a staff of qualified retirement plan professionals are the authors of the newsletter which is published every other month.

Due to the growing demand for accessing newsletters online and because of the cost-effective means of distributing newsletters via the Internet, Benefit Insights, Inc. began offering online newsletter subscriptions in 1999. Since many smaller TPA firms were interested in having a web site and online newsletter but the cost was prohibitive, Benefit Insights, Inc. expanded its services in 1999 to include an affordable and easy to implement web site package called TPAsites. TPAsites includes the online Benefit Insights newsletter which is automatically uploaded to the site every other month.

In 2003 a one-page starter web site, including personalized email addresses, was introduced called TPAonline. TPAonline was designed for those TPA firms who were not ready to commit to the expense of a full-blown web site but wanted an Internet presence. TPAonline subscribers can easily upgrade to the TPAsites package at any time.

Thanks to many of our clients, we came to recognize the need for a way to transmit sensitive data easily and quickly while maintaining the latest in security technology. We talked with our clients to determine what they really wanted and needed. In February 2008 our simple, secure and comprehensive file exchange system, called SecureFileX was released.

Before forming Benefit Insights, Inc., Donna was Vice President of Administration and co-owner of Retirement Plan Resources, Inc., a retirement plan consulting firm in Reading, Pennsylvania. She also previously served as the Vice President and Manager of Recordkeeping Services for Meridian Asset Management (now Wachovia) located in Reading, Pennsylvania.

Donna earned a B.S. degree in Business Administration, summa cum laude, from Albright College, Reading, Pennsylvania. Additionally she received the designations of Certified Pension Consultant (CPC) from the American Society of Pension Professionals & Actuaries in 1986 and Certified Employee Benefit Specialist (CEBS), sponsored by the Wharton School and the International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans, in 1982.

She has also attended numerous web development and graphics courses and seminars to enable her to offer attractive web sites at an extremely competitive price. Web site hosting is outsourced to one of the largest U.S. providers of web hosting services for small and medium sized businesses.
